"Today, however, Oakley is know for another commodity: stone. There is no stone like this anywhere else in the world, said Oakley Idaho Stake President W. "He believes the book itself is historic, since it probably will mean the historical department of the LDS church will address other controversies now, too, like polygamy. The authors have been candid and the LDS church made sources available that have never been available before. The massacre reminds us that Mormons are human and capable of violence. Thanks, Vonnie, for some interesting resources. This is a great blog! Keep up the good work.
Interesting about the Mtn. Meadows massacre book. There was an article in the Ensign about it a few months ago, about how some of the families of the people killed have joined the church, so the church is definitely not afraid of mentioning the subject.
