Friday when Rick and I were waiting in the Provo temple chapel, we each picked up the scriptures and decided to randomly open them and point to a verse and then share it with each other.
Here is my verse: Alma 7:12 ~ And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
Here is Rick's scripture: Isiah 53: 5 ~ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Good post, Vonnie. Thanks to the reference on YouTube for Elder Holland's talk. It was a nice Easter.
