Silent auction items for sale. All proceeds for the evening went to build our Scera endowment.Kurt Bestor recently remarried and he attended with his lovely new wife and his baby daughter.

Arnold Friberg can be seen by clicking to enlarge this photo. He and his wife are in front of the silver stars on the wall. The dinner in the Scera lobby was lovely. With the new paint, carpet and such, it really looked great this year!

The annual Scera gala and Star Awards were held on February 21. It was a wonderful evening! It's kind of like going to an adult Prom night. It was fun to get all dressed up for an evening. I was the chair of the committee this year and it was fun to be involved and see it come together so well. See this write up in the Daily Herald about the evening. Here is a list of the 2009 SCERA Star Awards recipients who were recognized for the huge impact they have made in our state (and beyond) in the arts. We got to sit at the table with 95 year old Arnold Friberg and his guests. What a great artist he is. He is still painting!

Hi Adam
I stumbled across your blog on LDS BLOGS. I thought you might be interested in a site my wife and I just built called MormonsMadeSimple.com, which uses simple, explanatory videos to explain the Mormon faith. Feel free to feature any of these videos on your blog, or just share them with non-member friends. We're hoping these videos will be missionary tools to help members share their beliefs. Anyway, sorry to spam your comments section. I couldn't find any contact information for you on your blog.

Good post, Vonnie. You and the committee did a great job, and the gala was a fine event. Thanks for taking me!
Love your hair at the gala. That looks like a very nice evening. I also LOVE the picts in your previous post.
Good job on the gala!
P.S. Maybe you can give me an award next year!
What a fun night. You guys look as good as any of the couples that just walked the red carpet for the Oscar's.
