The Night Before Elections...

IT WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE ELECTIONS

Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He divided up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
If you don't want socialism
Get out and vote!!!!

My brother Gary just sent me this election poem in an email. Good stuff. Check out this thought provoking article that appeared in our local paper. It raises come good questions. As I stated on this blog, I fear for our country. It may take off on a course tomorrow from which we can never recover.

Get out and VOTE and afterwards, treat yourself to a KK and a hot chocolate (in keeping with family tradition.)

EVERYONE VOTE!! There is no excuse for not voting. Grandpa Romney used to wake up very early in the morning on election day, go to the polls, and wait in the car to be the first one to vote. Even though he had polio and was on crutches, he thought so much of the right to vote that he would be there at the crack of dawn. I'll be there when the polling place opens in his honor.

I think we may not like the results tomorrow when they are announced, but we'll see. Thanks, Vonnie, for your references to the interesting articles, and for the poem.
