Broadway musicals

Pat and I attended a fantastic performance of Rogers and Hammerstein's South Pacific. It was extremely well done and we had a wonderful experience at the Lincoln Center. I love watching good theater and especially enjoy broadway musicals!

To watch a few clips, see this video:

and to listen to a few songs, see this video:

Other interesting shows on Broadway right now that I'd love to see someday are:
Bye Bye Birdie
Chicago
Finian's Rainbow
Hamlet
Jersey Boys
Mamma Mia!
Mary Poppins
Ragtime
The Lion King
The Phantom of the Opera (I've seen this one three times)
West Side Story
Wicked (saw it twice)
Off Broadway:
Blue Man Group
Stomp (saw it once)
The Fantasticks

We had a very hard deciding what to see, but finally settled on South Pacific. I think we made a great choice.

In our program it listed the 13 longest running Broadway shows. They are:
1. Phantom of the Opera (still going strong having played over 9,000 performances)
2. Cats (saw this once)
3. Les Miserables (three times)
4. A Chorus Line (saw it a few weeks ago at Pioneer in SLC)
5. Oh! Calcutta!
6. Beauty and the Beast (does SCERA count?)
7. Chicago
8. Rent
9. The Lion King
10. Miss Saigon (saw it last year at Pioneer)
11. 42nd Street
12. Grease
13. Mamma Mia!
