Utah Symphony under the stars

We attended another great outdoor concert at the Scera Shell last night performed by the Utah Symphony. It was excellent! We had such a nice evening with our friends the Dixons and my in-laws. Since I serve on the Scera board, I get comp tickets, so that is always an added perk. None of our guests had attended a concert at the Scera Shell before and they were very impressed with the facility and the quality of the sound. The Scera Shell is a great venue for an outdoor concert and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The Symphony was amazing. I love classical music and it was wonderful to hear such beautiful, stirring music. If you ever get the chance to hear the Utah Symphony, don't pass it up. It raises your spirit to a higher level.
Here is a partial play list. They also played the Star Wars sound track and it was amazing.

Kory Katseanes, conductor
Gould American Salute
Williams Cowboys: Overture
Gershwin arr. Campbell Strike Up the Band
Hermann Big Band Sounds
Copland Variations on a Shaker Melody
Bagley National Emblem March
Anderson Jazz Pizzicato
Anderson Bugler’s Holiday
Williams LibertyFanfare
Arr. Lowden Armed Forces Salute
Herbert American Fantasie

It was a wonderful event, with great weather and great company. Thanks, Vonnie, for being a mover and shaker on the SCERA board, and for scoring the great tickets. We love you.
