Very good progress, Vonnie. I'm very proud of you.
Several months ago you did a post on your home town, Rupert, ID. You asked the name of the floral shop on the West Side of the square. I couldn't remember, but the other day for some reason it popped into my head. When I was growing up it was "Lloyds Floral". I think they were the ones that started the Christmas displays. I remember how they would empty out their back room and make it into a dark twinkley fairyland of Christmas trees and displays that opened on the Friday after Thanksgiving as the lights were turned on at the square. It never failed to amaze and delight me. After that Janet Coffman bought it and it was called "Janet's Floral". She did continue with the Christmas room. Does any of that ring a bell?
Do you remember at the old J.C. Penny store on the south side of the square how they had that little pully thing that they would send things from the main floor up to the balcony and back? Not sure where that memory came from, but I remember we always had to go there to get our gym clothes for P.E.
So now I sound like a really old person sitting around with my memories. So this has been your "Blast from the Past" for today.
