What a great picture example of the lesson taught in Doctrine and Covenants 121:43 (without saying one word.) It's a great reminder for parents and teaches an important principle. Click on the picture to enlarge.
This is probably the best visual for the scripture about ". . . afterwards showing an increase of love. . ." that I have ever seen. I think I'll have to use it in teaching the missionaries.
That is so sweet. I'm actually tearing up over Family Circus. I think as your children experience harder issues and make more serious poor choices in their teen years, you gain perspective on just how many things you got upset about when they were little that are so unimportant. Sometimes my bigs get mad that Spencer and Milly get away with so much. I try to explain that just because I did so much wrong when they were little doesn't mean I am obligated to repeat it with the second batch.

We have used and applied this lesson many times. It is a true one.
